Borath:
Although he appears for only a short time, in just one episode, Borath seems to have a surprisingly large fanbase. He is a cool Vorta.
What caught me by...absolute shock, was when Odo and the Female Changeling walk in on Borath in the middle of his experiment. Borath is standing by his computer, arms crossed. He offers a warm welcome to his unexpected visitors. Seeing all of his comrades hooked up onto computers (in the uncut version of this episode), Odo immediately orders him to stop, and suddenly this Vorta's warm voice turns into a whiny growl, he glares directly at his Founder and promptly replies with nasty, snarled "NO!"
My immediate thought was that that Vorta needed to be backhanded. Yet the abuse doesn't stop here. What makes this situation even more shocking is what happens next. Odo then approaches Borath, and urges him once again, to stop his experiment. Borath glares straight into the eyes of his Founder, and delivers a degrading, venomous scowl, "Well..." he cringes in mock disgust, "isn't that a problem. Unfortunately, its not one I have to solve."
There aren't words that exist to explain how how wrong, (and to be quite honest, utterly hilarious) this sick, twisted scene was.
Borath is obviously highly favoure of the Link, as his unpunished attitude would certainly explain so. What a nasty, nasty Vorta.
It was noticeable during his experiment that Borath had a hard time controlling his attitude. He seems to very much like to be in control, and becomes frustrated easily if things aren't going precisely his way. Or it may be that he just happens to have a particularly rotten attitude. Although all of that aside, in a nuetral mood, like all Vorta he has a warm, soft voice and moves with a soothingly gentle grace.
