(Jem'Hadar: I understand) Keevan: (rolls eyes and breathes in pain) "No you don't...but that's allright. Its not important that you understand only that you carry out my instructions precisely.."
"We certainly wouldn't want that to happen, would we?"
"By the time the Dominion is done with you all you'll want...is a quick, death..."
"Don't go out there..."
(sarcastic)"Oh, I only wish I could be there with you."
"I hate Ferengi."

Summary:
Keevan is ambitious, brash, with a reckless, rebellious nature. This Vorta has all too often gotten himself tangled in the most complicated of field situations, risking life and career seemingly out of pure compulsion. In despite of this, Keevan is probably the most gifted, cunning strategist the Dominion has to offer. He's a master when it comes to manipulating foes, and a quick, clever thinker under even the most pressing conditions. Keevan can find creative solutions to the most impossible of situations, his insidious mind traps often leaving no need for a lengthy deception as with other Vorta.
This dangerous Vorta was first encountered on a rogue planet in the Gamma Quadrant, when Captain Sisko and his crew found themselves stranded following the crash of their ship. Not long before they had landed, Keevan and his pack of Jem'hadar had also crashed after the Vorta had ordered his men to take them furthur into a hazardous nebula. Keevan had been fatally wounded in the crash, and hadn't long to live. With a dangerously low supply of ketracel white, the Jem'Hadar were already going through withdrawal. It became realized that it wouldn't be long before they became but mindless killing machines, and turned on their Vorta. Death and failure seemed to be inevitable, when a small number of the Jem'Hadar had discovered and captured two of Captain Sisko's lower ranking personnel. Keevan negotiated his prisoners' return in exchange for their Starfleet doctor, and Captain Sisko himself. After doctor Bashir successfully repaired the injured Vorta, Keevan made a sly proposal to Captain Sisko. He revealed his current dilemma, and then told the Captain that he was ordering his Jem'hadar to attack the Starfleet basecamp the next morning--but, that he would be giving the Captain their precise plan of attack, enabling them to kill off his Jem'Hadar. He would then allow the Starfleet crew repair his communications system, who would do so more easily than white-starved Jem'Hadar. After that, he'd surrender to Starfleet as a POW, saving his life and allowing him to live comfortably for the remainder of the war. He reminded Sisko that whether he accepted his plan or not, he would send his Jem'Hadar to kill everyone in the Starfleet basecamp.
Having gone according to plan, Keevan survived and did indeed become a Starfleet war prisoner. Some time later, Sisko allowed Keevan's release to Quark who intended to turn him over to the Dominion in exchange for Quark's mother, who had been taken prisoner by the Dominion. A squabble between the Ferengi during the mission actually led to Keevan being shot in the chest, killing him before the exchange. Quark's nephew Nog had the plan of bringing Keevan "back to life" via numerous nueral stimulators. The body of the most recent Keevan remained wall-banging into one of the bulkheads on Empok Nor for several days before it was presumably retrieved by Yelgrun's Jem'Hadar.

Keevan:
Personality-wise, this particular Vorta reminds me a lot of myself. Keevan is my second most favorite Vorta.
Like many of my fellow female fans I admit...I think he's attractive. I just love his attitude, and that cat-like, sensous purr of a voice is simply impossible to ignore. Like Eris, I love how this character was able to bring out the curious, childlike personality of the Vorta (which for Keevan, is more easily noticible in The Magnificent Ferengi). I'm unsure if perhaps Keevan was new to the Dominion, or if it was simply in his nature that made him so reckless. Either way, the Dominion couldn't have denied this Vorta's gifted talents, hazardous as they often made him or not. Keevan was an intriguing, irrisistable villain, it would definitely have been worth including him in at least one more episode.
