Weyoun
Tribute
Pronunciation: Way-youn
Terran look-alike: Jeffrey Combs
Appearance(s): To the Death; frequents various Dominion War episodes
Occupation: Previous Field Supervisor/Ambassador in Chief
Was granted to be the overseer of Earth once it was occupied by the Dominion
Times Died: Eight times.
Jem'Hadar: Six, when he was a Field Supervisor. The 1st was not only obsessed with death but preached religiously. One claimed he was eight years old. The 2nd had a hormonal imbalance and needed serious anger management; probably misplaced aggression syndrome. One Jem'Hadar in particular was unusually short by several inches. Another stared continously with his mouth open; noticibly this one was also cross-eyed. The rest were blank faced with fish eyes that rarely seem to focus in one direction. Severely undisciplined. Acted like children. Behaved like animals. They ran Weyoun like an old, exasperated single mother. This was probably most largely due to the the fact that they bullied Weyoun into giving them more ketracel white when their capsules were already full to the point that the tubes leading up to their throat, which are supposed to visibly show tiny beads of the drug being administered into their bloodstream in very small doses, were solid white, nearly shaking with overflow and on the verge of bursting; its utterly amazing that they didn't, bleed, white. Weyoun could play Mom and argue orders into them, but was clearly afraid of his own Jem'Hadar. He ran helplessly into the corner whenever a fight broke loose.
Eye color: Lavender blue
Facial expressions: 'I'm cute. I'm also the devil' 'You hurt my feelings you monster' and 'My command could end your life in a second'
Basic persona: Quirky, intelligent, arrogant
Riskiest action: Weyoun 4 snubbed the loyalty of his Jem'Hadar 1st. Weyoun 6 defected from the Dominion itself. Weyoun 7 was willing to kill Odo behind the Female Changeling's back in order to kill Weyoun 6. Weyoun 7 pissed off Worf.
Favorite mind trick: I'm your best friend.
Strongest Vorta quality: Diplomacy
Angry habit: Narrows his eyes and scowls like a scolded brat child. Followed by a tip of his chin and a quick turn of his head.
Most memorable quote(s):
"Your next allowance of white will be in two hours. If you want it on time you will be quiet and do as your told!" (to his misbehaving Jem'Hadar)
"My apologies, Captain. I'm afraid the Jem'Hadar are sadly deficient in the social graces. ...You and I should talk... in private."
"You're lying, and you're not very good at it. I, however, am an expert at lies both in telling them and spotting them so, you may as well tell me the truth."
"I'm so pleased to see our relationship evolving beyond the stale adversarial stage!" (Sisko: "No, its not. But before you twist that into a compliment...")
"Weak eyes, good ears."
"Haha...hahahahaha! Ah, I like games!" (playing Dabo)
(deliberately downs a glass of poison. Squints and jerks his head. Brightens cheerfully) "Oh my, that's QUITE toxic!"
"Vorta are immune to most forms of poison. Comes in handy when you're a diplomat." (crisp, elegant laugh)
"Gods don't make mistakes!"
(urgently) "Major? (points to the picture he can't understand and frowns innocently with confusion) Would this be more aesthetically pleasing if it were blue?"
(happy smile) "We'll crush them."
"Time to start packing!"
"Oh, it is such an honor to be sitting here next to a (Odo glares) ...security..officer."
"Of course I’m paranoid - everyone’s trying to kill me!"
(delicately searching the eyes of his ill Founder as he kneels for her) "I would give my life to save yours."
-
(Dukat: "A true victory, is to make your enemy admit that he was wrong to oppose you in the first place. To force them to acknowledge your greatness.")
Weyoun: (confused expression) "Then you kill them."
(Dukat: Oonly...if its necessary.")
-
Weyoun: (on Bajor) "If you ask me, all this talk about Prophets and Gods is just superstitious nonsense."
(Damar bluntly: "Don't you worship the Founders as your Gods?")
Weyoun: "That's different"
(Damar: "Oh? In what way?")
Weyoun: (quietly disturbed. Defensive) "The Founders are Gods..."
-
Weyoun: "Founder...I am honored by your visit. Is there some way I may be of service?"
(Odo: "I want my Bajoran security officers reinstated")
Weyoun: (as if five minutes earlier he didn't just forbid the idea) "Consider it done."
(Odo: "From now on they will be in charge of all means of security)
Weyoun: (cowers, submissive frown) "I see no problem with that."
(Dukat: "I do.")
Weyoun: (whips around) "This is between me and Odo!"

Weyoun:
Weyoun is probably the single most stereotypical Vorta ever encountered...and infallibly the most dangerous. He's extremely playful, alert, attentive, with a disarmingly friendly smile, his seemingly innocent expressions often turning on a heartbroken frown when displeased, or simply puzzled. Although seemingly soft, unintentionally gentle and put quite blankly, physically unintimidating, his inherent dark side is reversely toxic.
Make no mistake that this Vorta is the master of lies, treachery, propaganda, twisted diplomacy, head games, among countless forms of Dominion mind manipulation. His strong Vorta persona made him a first choice Dominion ambassador to send to Deep Space Nine, ultimately becoming the co-leader of the entire sector once the station was occupied by Dominion forces. Weyoun is the highest ranking Vorta in the alpha quadrant, and one of the few explicit Vorta who has ever worked directly with the Founder Leader. Innerving and trusted by no side, Weyoun quite effortlessly irritates both enemies and comrades alike, the very mention of his name enough to make skin crawl.
This important Vorta was first encountered by Captain Sisko on a mission to the Gamma Quadrant. After a rogue Jem'Hadar ship attacked Deep Space Nine, the goal was to track down the enemy vessel and destroy it. Not far on the other side of the wormhole, the crew discovered a devastated Jem'Hadar attack ship. Transporting its life signs aboard to the Defiant, the Vorta Weyoun explained that the Jem'Hadar who had attacked DS9 as well as his own ship, were rebels, which posed a significant threat as they had gained control of an Iconian gateway. The situation came to Captain Sisko and his crew working alongside Weyoun's team of Jem'Hadar and hunting down the Dominion rebels. In the end, Weyoun was killed by his Jem'Hadar 1st for questioning his loyalty.
Much to the frustration of Captain Sisko, this Vorta was of course cloned, promoted to Ambassador in Chief and later returned to DS9 with Gul Dukat. After Cardassia had come to an alliance with the Dominion, Weyoun would accompany Dukat almost continously, bitterly hated by the Gul and all of his associates as an inescapable, immortal, parasite. Weyoun had soon taken his role as the Dominion's "dark knight" as once nicknamed, whom no side but the Dominion itself had control of as he was used to manipulate Dominion allies into whatever the Founders desired.

Notes:
Weyoun is my favorite Vorta. My favorite character in all of the Star Trek series that have ever existed, in fact. He's incredibly unique, hilariously funny, and not to mention, unbelievably adorable. He's like the Dominion's puppy. Whenever the Female Founder walks into the room, he goes right to the door, submissive, completely happy no matter how badly she treats him. And when Weyoun gets in trouble with her, he goes and follows Odo around until Odo has to brush him off. Odo doesn't like pets. In the later seasons there's a cute quote by Damar who says keeping track of Weyoun is a full time job.
He's awesome. Being the most stereotypical Vorta makes him an irresistable villain.
In the episode of "To the Death" Captain Sisko agrees to a private meeting with the Vorta. Trying to establish relations with a potential ally, what Weyoun proposes to Captain Sisko is somewhat intriguing:
"What if I could make you, absolute ruler of the Federation? Not admiral, not Starfleet chief of staff...just....you."
My brother made the comment that by seeing how fast conversation jumped to that, it sounded like Weyoun had rehearsed this proposal. Notice, Gul Dukat became the absolute ruler of Cardassia once he sold into the Dominion.
Something else that I found, and this I thought was fascinating, is the eerie connection between two episodes; "Sacrifice of Angels" and "Statistical Probabilities."
In 'Statistical Probabilities', Doctor Bashir has made friends with a group of genetically engineered individuals with startling insight. During their short stay on the station, they became interested in the fight against the Dominion and began to calculate the probability of the Federation defeating them. In the end, they could come to only one conclusion: The Federation could not beat the Dominion. The only way to save the billions of lives that would be lost, was to surrender. They would lose the war for the time being, but, they predicted that in only a matter of one or two generations, a tiny rebellion would form. That rebellion would begin on Earth, and soon spread across the entire quadrant, and together all would rise and defeat the Dominion for good.
So convinced that their solution was correct, the genetically enginneered patients imprisoned Bashir, and set off to reveal Federation tactical information to the Dominion, making the takeover swift and easy. Unfortunately, by getting help from one of the patients whom the others had left alone with Bashir, he was able to escape, and prevented them from doing this. They thought they were sure they had safely confined Bashir, but he argued that one person was able to throw off their entire set of calculations...
"Sacrifice of Angels", when the station had been under Dominion occupation. There is an interesting scene where Dukat and Weyoun are discussing plans for the future of the quadrant. Bashir's genetically engineered comrades thought that surrendering to the Dominion would be less bloody, and ultimately result in defeating the Dominion in the long run. However, it would be one individual, who did indeed, throw off their entire set of calculations.
Many months before, standing there with Gul Dukat in the Captain's room, Weyoun speculated the constant vigilance that would be required in order to keep the quadrant under control. That if a rebellion were ever to begin, it would begin on the terran homeworld.
None of them, had any idea, that it was Weyoun who would be given control of Earth...
Weyoun then made it known to Dukat, that he would have had the population exterminated.
